Dear Friends,
The results are in! Raising a Reader made a big impact on families participating in our programs this year.
At Raising a Reader, we build home libraries and help children ages 0-8 and their families get the most out of shared reading to build literacy and learning skills that set children up for academic success that lasts a lifetime.
To that end, we partner with educators and caregivers across the United States to ensure that they have the training, diverse books and bilingual materials they need to foster a love of learning and build the foundational skills needed to be reading proficient by 3rd grade.
“The students, teachers, and families have really been enjoying the RAR program. The students come excited to school with their books and ready to share the stories they read with their classmates. We are very appreciative of this program to help support the school to home connection and encourage students to become lifelong learners!”
~ Alicia Weyeneth, Principal at Washington Elementary School
We thank you for your continued support and together we are one step closer to reaching our goal of serving 200,000 children annually across the nation and ensuring that another child has the family support and reading skills they need to thrive.
With appreciation.
