At Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF), we are committed to building an inclusive society where Deaf and differently-abled individuals can thrive. Our project “Vocational Training & Job Placement for Deaf & PWD” continues to create pathways to independence by providing practical skills and real job opportunities.
Training and Empowerment:
We conducted targeted vocational training sessions in graphic design, computer literacy, and workplace readiness. Using sign language as the primary mode of instruction, and with visual learning tools, our sessions empowered participants with both hard and soft skills.
Success Story Highlight – Almas’s Journey:
Almas, a young girl dealing with hearing loss, joined our program with limited confidence. With counseling, sign language training, and a graphic design course, Almas gained a new purpose. Today, she is engaged, confident, and ready to build a successful career—an inspiring example of resilience and transformation.
Job Placement Highlights:
We are proud to report successful job placements across diverse sectors:
Textile Industry: Deaf individuals are now contributing in packaging, labeling, and stitching units.
Sports Sector: Participants have joined sports gear manufacturing companies, proving their capability and discipline in assembly lines.
Carrefour Grocery Stores: With support from store managers, several Deaf youth have been hired in inventory, customer service, and cashier roles—supported by on-site sign language training and sensitization sessions for staff.
These placements not only empower individuals but also create a more inclusive corporate culture.
Wider Community Impact:
Families that once feared for their children's future now celebrate their success and independence. Our program is shifting mindsets and proving that Deaf individuals can contribute equally in professional environments.
Thank You to Our Donors:
Your support is turning dreams into reality. Thanks to your generosity, our participants are gaining employment, dignity, and hope. You are helping build an inclusive Pakistan—one job at a time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
