Help 300 vulnerable women in Zamfara, Nigeria, launch their own businesses today. We provide intensive vocational training, financial literacy, and full "Business Startup Kits" to women displaced by conflict. By equipping them to earn immediate income, we break the cycle of poverty for their families. This project turns dependent victims into self-reliant entrepreneurs, securing a stable future for 1,500+ children.
Conflict and economic collapse in Zamfara have left thousands of women destitute. Widows and female-headed households face a 70% poverty rate, lacking the skills or capital to survive. Cultural barriers further exclude them from the formal workforce. Without intervention, these women remain trapped in extreme poverty, unable to feed their children or access healthcare, making them highly vulnerable to exploitation and radicalization.
We don't just train; we launch businesses. We provide 3 months of hands-on training in high-demand trades: tailoring, poultry farming, and soap making. Crucially, every graduate receives a free Business Starter Kit (sewing machines, livestock, or raw materials) to start earning immediately. Combined with financial literacy workshops, this holistic approach ensures women transition from "trainees" to active, earning entrepreneurs from Day 1.
300 women will become self-reliant breadwinners, permanently lifting 1,500+ family members out of poverty. Steady household income directly improves child nutrition and school enrollment rates. Furthermore, economically empowered women become stabilizers in their communities, reducing vulnerability to crime. This project creates a scalable model for female economic inclusion in Northern Nigeria, shifting cultural norms for future generations.
