Conservation week - learning about biodiversity

Education is at the heart of local action, and WAI Wanaka are helping communites to come together to figure out solutions to our environmental, land management and sustainability challenges.

Current priorities for our education and outreach programmes are:

Connection is key: Continue to support teachers, schools and community groups.
Partner for results: Build our education programmes in partnership with the other environmental and sustainability organisations in our region.
Action on the ground: Foster active citizen sceince projects with schools and our local communities.

Our volunteers are vital to achieve our goal to engage, educate and enable our community to take positive action for our natural world, for the benefit of current and future generations. Thank you for supporting the amazing work being done by our volunteers!
