Dear donor,
thank you for your support so far for the project "Wash program at several schools in Uganda"! We appreciate it very much.
If you haven't read our latest project report from June, where we told you about the progress over the past year, check it out here.
What we haven't shared with you yet and want to do now is the successful implementation of the workshop on menstrual hygiene:
The aim of the four-day training sessions at 4 of the 7 schools was to strengthen knowledge and skills about menstrual health and hygiene. In addition to learning about the physical changes, participants also learned how to make their own reusable sanitary pads. Boys and men also participated in the workshops, as acceptance and knowledge of the topic is central to reducing prejudice and marginalization of menstruating individuals.
Although the project is making great progress, we still need your support! So it would be great if you could tell your community about the work of Visions for Children and continue to advocate for a right to education for all children.
Thank you and all the best,
Celine from Visions
