Construction plan
The water board has been continually working on plans for the construction of the new drinking water system. The measurement of where the water curtain or dam will be built has been made, and then continue with the details for the construction of the next stages of the project.
The cost to build the entire drinking water system is USD 100,000, which will benefit almost a thousand people. The communities of El Pital, Lucinda and El Olvido are carrying out fundraising activities to have a counterpart for the funds. This is an urgent project, since, due to the drought as a consequence of climate change, the water source of the current project collapsed. It is for this reason that the new project is considering connecting a stream with greater capacity and quality of water, within a core area in a natural reserve, which guarantees that the water is suitable for human consumption.
To make this project a reality, we need to continue having your collaboration, and help us spread the word with your families, friends and neighbors, to join forces in this cause.
