Many thanks to the loyal and generous support this project has recieved over the past year. We are so pleased to be working with TEABAG and the Rotary Club of Tooting on this wonderful project.
Here's a report from the ground in Ghana:
The borehole project is continuing as we aim to bring clean water to the small town of Mankoadze. The bore hole has been crreated and water produced allowed the college to stay open during the worst drought in living memory over this summer. The water is very clear and clean but has high salt content and so is currently not suitable for drinking. The water pruification plant is the next target. We would like to produce drinking water for the college and the community. The children of the village arre still having to fetch water from dirty ponds for drinking and cooking.
Luckliy there are now two very large water tanks in the village. One for harvetsing rainwater and the other stores water from the borehole, which is pumped from the ground during the day using solar power.
This project desperatly needs your continued support and we send our sincer thanks to all our loyal supporters. With so many charitable casues asking for help these days we thank you for remembering the long term work we are trying to achieve with underprivaledged young people in ghana. Every penny recieved goes a very long way.
Have a wonderful Christmas
Roger Gilman
