2022 Summer report

By Maria Deresne Tanarki | Chairman of the Board of Trustees

Over the past months, the Foundation has taken advantage of the receding COVID epidemic to prepare and offer programmes to the target population, in order to counteract the trauma of almost 2 years of restrictions, quarantine, confinement and the damage to human relations. We were also finally able to plan again our "Road to the Future" funded programme.

We launched a call for proposals for team building and Bourn-out programmes for professional communities, which was a great success. We received 7 valid applications that met the call for proposals. The professional communities planned full-day programmes with professional, community-building, burnout prevention and play elements.

The programmes were a success, with a good atmosphere. The number of participants was 125.

Two programmes for children in state care with multiple disadvantages have been announced. Applications were invited for support for thematic summer camps for children and young adults in children's and residential care homes and foster families, and for the implementation of the "Pathway to the Future" career guidance and guidance programme.

There was a high level of interest in both programmes, with 10 applications and letters of intent submitted.

The "Pathways to the Future" career guidance programme started with 2 groups in June. Preparations were carefully planned, with children interviewed and questionnaires completed before the groups were set up. This was used to select the participating children aged 12-16. The groups were composed of between 16 and 20 children.

The schedule of the programme's sessions was planned, as was the combination of the programme and the group specialist.

A coordination meeting was held with the heads of the professional communities concerned, the scheduled tasks were reviewed and the implementation process was discussed.

Completion of the programme is scheduled for 20 December 2022.

Supporting our programme will help children in state care with multiple disadvantages to make informed career choices and reduce early school leaving.

Thank you for your support.
