After the successful completion of our "Road to the Future" programme, our Foundation prepared to support programmes for the target group of beneficiaries, with which we tried to promote community building, strengthening human relations, giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds in state care an experience, breaking away from their everyday life, and healing their injuries in a therapeutic way through play.
Based on prior consultation with the target group, the following programmes will be supported by your grant:
1. Bella Zoo excursion, petting zoo, camel riding, horse riding with 25 children. (https://bellapuszta.hu/)
2. Visit to the Adventure Farm in Bikal (village in Tolna County, Hungary), Fairy Tale Village, the Knight's arena, the Old Town and the Renaissance Palace, thematic activities with 22 children. (https://elmenybirtok.hu/#)
3. Ecotourism Visitor Centre in Tamási (village in Fejér County) - learning about the wildlife of the area, learning about the hunting culture, observing the behaviour of wild animals in their own habitat, with 20 children.
4. Visit to the Tropicarium with 15 children. To learn about and observe exotic aquatic life.
5. Excursion to the Szigethalmi Wildlife Park and Wildlife Rescue Centre with 21 children with moderate intellectual disabilities for experiential and therapeutic purposes. (https://www.szigethalmivadaspark.hu/)
6. Visit to Cyberjump trampoline park for therapeutic and experiential purposes with 30 children with mild intellectual disabilities and 4DX cinema experience.
7. Supplementing the cost of an adventure camp for 20 children. The resources available would not have allowed the camp to be carried out, so they turned to our Foundation for support.
Your support has provided unforgettable experiences for 153 children, improving their quality of life and community. The shared experiences have strengthened relationships and reduced tensions.
The above programmes will be implemented during the school holidays and will be completed by the end of August at the latest, and in the case of the adventure camp in September.
We are currently preparing our programme for the next period. The Child Protection Centre has indicated that they would like to participate in our "Road to the Future" programme with 1 group.
If we are honored with additional funding, we will start the program with 1 group of 16-18 children if funding is available.
We thank you for your generous support for the betterment of our cumulatively disadvantaged children in foster care.
