Since our March report, we have taken into account our financial and human resources, which we compared with our “Path to the Future” Career Choice and Career Orientation Project.
We have come to the conclusion that - as in the previous year - we will not be able to fully implement the program this year either, because the amount of support we have available does not cover it.
Therefore, we have used the available support received within the framework of GlobalGiving to implement part of our program and its related goals.
Similar to the previous year, we have also published a call for applications for institutions providing care for children and young people with multiple disadvantages, who are growing up in state care, to organize thematic summer programs.
Among the three service institutions, the independent professional units of an integrated institution (residential homes, after-care home, special children's home) submitted applications on various topics. The applications included:
The board of trustees of our foundation supported an animal-assisted thematic camp aimed at developing the personality and self-awareness of young adults and developing their abilities and skills from the GlobalGiving grant, considering that it fits well with our career choice project. 24 people participated in the two programs. Each of the programs was implemented at an external location, one at Lake Szelídi and the other at the Tordasi Experience Village. Each of the locations well supported the goals to be achieved and also provided experiences for the participants.
All participants enjoyed the programs and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to participate.
The programs provided for children and young people and their impact contributed to the development of their personalities, the strengthening of their realistic self-awareness, and the development of their abilities and skills. They also got acquainted with the mysteries of an unusual profession – mounted police – and actively tried their hand at cooking.
We consider the programs to have been successful.
We thank you for your generous support, which supports the well-being of children in state care with multiple disadvantages.
