Way to the Future

We had an opening event of the „Way to the Future” program 19th February 2014. Local media also was invited to this event and took part in it. Local TV made a short report which was presented in the daily evening news. On this event also took part in professionals, children and co-operating organizations. After the official part the participants had a common free conversation and snack.
Before starting the project we were mapping the children’s carrier orientations and we found those were very cloudy. They do not know what kind of profession they should choose.
Two proposed modul were realized, self-knowledge and communication groups in three places. The aims of the self knowledge group were the young people realize their attributes, features.
Communication groups’ aims were to improve the participants basic communicative skills through situation practices. Youngs picked up how to behave on a job interview, how could write a curriculum vitae.
The youngs took part on a learning trip, they visited a technical college. In this school the participants met different jobs such as bedding planter, catering trade. The leader of this college explained preliminary and eligibilty requirements.
Next months we are going to visits other technical colleges, workplaces such as cook, confectioner, baker. Next moduls are conflict management group, career knowledge.
