A ride to a brighter future is the second project published in GlobalGiving after Rural Kids need a bike to go to school. We are trying our best to raise funds for A ride to a brighter future to be the same as Rural Kids need a Bike because the target students are the difference and the budget also difference.

So far we can raise only 300$ for this project and we need more funds to be able to implement the project. We have already done with some first process of school selection and also student selection. We also are done with students' assessment, this assessment is to make sure that they really need bikes for their study.

After a great donation, we would like to carry on our work to acheive our project goal and bring a wonderful impact for our students who we are working with. We recently visited kids who we supported bikes by our own Cambodia staff and volunteer from Germany, Martin and Julia and we then interviewed kids and their parent and what we received is great news of how bicycle donation can bring the progress forward for them.

We talked to Rouen, a 13-year-old student at school, just about half a year after receiving her brand-new bike. Without a bike she had to walk a long way to school. Her family is lesser fortunate with only a very little, which is why she was one of 100 lucky students to be supplied with bikes. Having a new bike, make her day esier. she does not need to walk to school anymore that is make her less tiring. She sometime share the bike with her friend to reach school. Her results have improved and is still improving. She spent much less time getting to school, so she can finally go to school every day and attend more classes. Also, she can be in school in time and talk with her friends before the class starts, and they can share information about the class.

Rouen said told us that having a new bike is extremely benefit her performance in school. She would love to thank the Kamboo Project Organization for supporting her. From now on shw will try to study even harder.

We were also able to speak to Van Nith, a boy of 11 years of age, where we received an equally warm welcome. Van Niths answers cemented that having a bicycle has a huge impact on adolescents, particularly in rural Cambodia, where the way to school can be long and exhausting, especially in summer. Van Nith
also told us that he uses his bike to support his family. He sometimes takes his bikes to a market outside of his village to sell collected vegetables or caught fish, which gives his lesser privileged family much-needed income and benefits his and his sibling’s studies. After talking to Rouen, his teacher told us that Rouen
recently became the 2nd best student in his class made possible by the Kamboo Projects Organization efforts. Congratulations, Van Nith.
