More than two years have passed since the devastating earthquakes of February 6, 2023. Support to Life (STL) continues to stand by the most affected and vulnerable communities across Türkiye. Our efforts remain concentrated in Hatay, Kahramanmaras, Adyaman, and Malatya — the hardest-hit provinces — while also extending to urban and rural areas in Diyarbakr, Mardin, Adana, Mersin, Sanlurfa, Izmir, Istanbul, and beyond.
In 2024, STL reached 225,219 individuals through comprehensive emergency and recovery programming. Key achievements include:
Basic Needs & WASH
18,781 people received unconditional cash assistance to meet basic needs and prepare for winter.
36,929 people accessed hygiene items through voucher-based distributions.
Sanitation infrastructure was relocated to under-served informal settlements and remote rural areas.
Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)
4,313 children and 2,846 adults took part in structured psychosocial group activities and psychoeducation.
397 individuals received one-on-one psychological counseling.
Protection & Legal Support
8,006 individuals attended awareness sessions on child labor, early marriage, gender-based violence, and access to rights.
1,132 individuals benefited from case management and tailored protection services.
Livelihoods & Economic Recovery
320 individuals completed vocational training programs.
49 local businesses received micro-grants to support post-quake recovery.
144 people were employed in short-term sanitation and reconstruction jobs.
In Adyaman, 96 women completed sewing workshops at the Umuthane women's center, gaining income through STL’s destekar platform.
Child Protection
9,568 children participated in psychosocial resilience programs.
2,890 children received individualized protection assistance.
1,146 children were supported with material aid to meet special needs.
Refugee Support
20,940 adults joined information sessions on legal rights and access to services.
2,530 individuals received case management; 709 received psychological support.
2,146 children received academic tutoring, while 266 were supported to return to school.
Community-Led Recovery
Under our Survivor and Community-Led Response model, 234 community projects were implemented across four provinces, reaching over 135,000 people with locally driven recovery initiatives.
Localization & Civil Society Strengthening
STL facilitated the Local Humanitarian Forum (LHF), coordinating 300+ local CSOs, of which 25 received micro-grants.
More than 2,800 individuals received in-person or online training in humanitarian response, accountability, and inclusion.
Together, we’ve reached thousands — but recovery is far from over. Your continued support helps us reach those still waiting. Donate today and be part of the solution.
