Al Mehran Research and Development Foundation (AMRDF) is a registered not for profit organization playing its role to uplift marginal groups in the fields of health, education, women empowerment and community mobilization through sustainable resources.
Weaving a future; women empowerment through sewing initiative
Recently, AMRDF has initiated a women empowerment project through your support which will lead to make 50 families independent through sewing and tailoring. Through this project, AMRDF is providing sewing machine and tailoring setup to 50 women and girls who are living under the poverty line and also have got the training in the trade of sewing. These women have already identified through the already available data of sewing trade students. It is pertinent to mention, the organization have already trained them in the respective trade in free of cost with the financial support of Govt. of Sindh. During the sewing trade course they were given training only in free whereas; they have to manage for the sewing machines and setup. Due to financial constraint they were unable to purchase the sewing machine and setup.
Detail of the project activities
AMRDF started fund raising initiative on the platform of GlobalGiving where we have received 1000 USD from our respective donors. Out of these, 1000 USD we have managed to purchase 07 sewing machines along with its all tailoring equipment. The respective equipment have successfully been distributed among the seven women which will start their business.

Our upcoming funding event
AMRDF aims to initiate funding event at the local level where, funds will also be collected locally as to expedite the process of purchase of equipment. Your donations will eventually lead to make the poor families independent and economically sustainable.
