Idriss Kpange's Legacy

By Barmmy Boy Mansaray | Director

Dear GlobalGiving community,

The first of our fellowship journey was to build Jonathan’s skills and understanding in developing a film synopsis for production. These essential elements involved crafting a captivating and concise film synopsis and understand the fundamentals of storytelling, character development, and plot structure in scriptwriting.

The training was designed to engage Jonathan in professional development mentorship by developing storytelling narrative through interactive sessions and practical exercises, Jonathan delved into the process of concise and compelling film synopsis. Emphasis was placed on the art of capturing the essence of a story, including its central conflicts, character motivations, and thematic significance giving Jonathan space and time to talk about his compelling story and hone these new skills.

The production phase involved meticulous planning and coordination and established location, casting, filming schedules. He conducted interviews to ensure the mentoring process could be as clear as possible. The accessibility and availability of equipment was considered when devising the production logistics.

The workshop on developing a film synopsis for filming served as a platform for participants to broaden his storytelling capabilities and gain valuable insights into the art of crafting impactful film synopsis. By integrating storytelling principles and character development techniques. The mentorship not only empowered Jonathan to refine his skills in the realm of film synopsis development but also nurtured a collaborative environment and learning. It is hoped that the knowledge and insights gained during the workshop will inspire him to engage in further creative endeavors and elevate the quality of storytelling in his film project as he is now in production filming his story.

With gratitude,

Barmmy
