Since 2009, WeOwnTV has grown from a small collective of Freetown-based creatives into a thriving hub for mentorship, media education, and internationally recognized film production. For over 15 years our work has brought a uniquely African perspectives to global audiences and continues to inspire dialogue, strengthen communities, and drive social change. With your support, we are now preparing to launch our most ambitious initiative yet: a dynamic online platform debuting in 2026 that will serve as a digital home for West African independent television and cinema. This new space will allow filmmakers to showcase their work, connect directly with audiences, and raise essential funds to bring their next stories to life.

The new platform will amplify these voices while expanding access to media education, strengthening mentorship, and creating sustainable pathways for artists across the region.
