Nursery Developing for Mangroves
Present Covid-19 issues and crisis, we are continuing the plantation in coatal area with restriction. The saplings are to be cared 3 months in the nursery and planted in the coastal areas. Further awareness meeting is being conducted in Kodaiyakadu, Kodiyakarai and Agathiyampalli for caring and conserving the existing Mangroves plants. 550 people from the coastal villages and adjacent areas are participating in the programme. In the meeting, the importance of mangroves, new plantation and conservation are discussed with them. Conservation from cutting firewood and other purpose must be stopped. Public as fisherman community, students, youth and environmental groups are involved in the work

A group of Beneficiaries
In the pormotion of nursery for producing saplings, we are preparing sap-lings through nursery rising, which is formed newly in Manora coastal area. With a capacity of 50000 saplings production in 3 months, it is formed and it is starting new saplings production.
