Help keep the horses and burros by chipping to WFLF’s Hay Drive to Aid Horses and Burros in Need. If you have wanted to help, NOW’S THE TIME! The replenishment of lifesaving hay is crucial to saving and protecting rescue horses and burros.
Countless horses and burros suffer starvation throughout the year. Skyrocketing hay prices compounded by drought, and rising costs for fuel are among the main causes. Charity missions like the ‘WFLF Hay Drive to Aid Horses and Burros in Need’ help to feed at risk horses, ponies, donkeys and foals. A bale of hay can make all the difference!
It takes a great deal of hay to bring just one starved horse back to health and even more to feed a herd of homeless hungry rescue horses. The cost to replenish quality hay supplies to feed rescue horses is the single highest expense in operating a lifesaving equine rescue and sanctuary program. On average it costs our charity approximately $3500 every few weeks to purchase quality hay and get it delivered to the at risk horses served through WFLF’s equine rescue and sanctuary program.
Through GlobalGiving, with your continued kind and generous support we’ve raised $3728 through 76 donations to date. We are sincerely grateful for your ongoing support for our lifesaving mission to save and protect these magnificent animals. Each and every donation no matter the size makes a difference - no matter the amount. Having crucial hay supplies on hand at all times is what makes it possible to carry out our lifesaving work.
We hope you will help us spread the word about the vital need for donations through our GlobalGiving platform. You can also set up a recurring donation. In fact, monthly giving is the easiest way to support this crucial lifesaving mission. Indeed monthly gifts provide a consistent, reliable income stream that allows us to assure that these vulnerable victimized animals receive the quality hay they need and that they will never be at risk of starvation or displacement again! Your support in sharing information about this important cause will undoubtedly help us to come closer to our goal. Will you help by sharing a link to our project page on GlobalGiving?
Thank you again for your interest and support and for all you do to make this incredible aid for at-risk horses possible.
Yours for the horses,
Katia Louise, Director
