This project serves to meet the most essential needs of at risk rescue horses and burros who have been saved from life threatening situations including starvation, abuse, neglect, and even slaughter. Through this important project we strive to assure that adequate quality hay supplies for at risk horses and burros served under our charity will meet the needs of these hungry homeless horses.
The cost to replenish quality hay to feed rescue horses remains the single highest expense in operating WFLF’s lifesaving equine rescue and sanctuary program. On average it has been costing our charity approximately $3500 per delivery of approximately 250 bales of quality hay every few weeks or so,depending on market prices and fuel costs for delivery, etc.
We are reaching out to you and other caring animal loving people for your assistance and support for this important charitable program which gives back to the horses who have fallen between the cracks after their former owners could no longer provide for them, and yes, even wild horses that once roamed America’s open range before being captured – these and other victimized equines depend 100% on charities like ours to survive. WFLF receives no government funding for our services. We depend 100% on tax deductible donations to carry out our important mission to prevent animal cruelty and we are an all volunteer charity.
We have been fortunate over the years to connect with compassionate people like you, who have been willing and able to help. We understand all too well that situations are always changing, and even the best of circumstances can turn by the drop of a hat. After all, that why these horses and burros become dependent on charities like ours. And that's why our work on behalf of their needs never stops.
We are sincerely grateful for your ongoing support for this important project which helps to save and protect these precious innocent animals. Each and every donation no matter the size makes a difference - no matter the amount. Having crucial hay supplies on hand at all times is what makes it possible to carry out our lifesaving mission.
Will you help us spread the word about the vital need for donations through our GlobalGiving platform? Will consider making a donation or even perhaps setting up a recurring donation. Monthly giving is the easiest way to support this crucial lifesaving mission. Indeed monthly gifts provide a consistent, reliable revenue stream that allows us to assure that these vulnerable victimized animals receive the quality hay they need and that they will never be at risk of starvation or displacement again! Your support in sharing information about this important cause will undoubtedly help us to come closer to our goal. Will you please help by sharing a link to our project page on GlobalGiving with just five of your friends today?
Thank you again for your interest and support and for all you do to make this incredible aid for at-risk horses possible.
Yours for the horses,
Katia Louise, Director
