March 2019 Report

By The Crew | WFLF

All of us at Wild For Life Foundation extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who supports our lifesaving mission. Thank you for caring and thank you for being part of this amazing work. The animals are forever grateful. We are forever grateful.

WFLF’s Hay Drive to Aid Horses and Burros in Need is a project under Wild for Life Foundation’s equine rescue & recovery mission. The project was first launched through GlobalGiving in January of 2015, and we are grateful every day, to the caring people who have donated to help support this important work.  Through this project we continue to provide nutritional meals for horses and burros including starvation victims, and other at-risk victimized and displaced equines in need, regardless of origin/ breed, age, or gender. These services are only made possible through continued donations.

Our volunteer rescue and sanctuary crew works around the clock to feed and care for these animals. Our mission continues whether we're aiding to horses in peril, taking care of new arrivals with urgent needs, or serving the lifelong needs of unadoptable horses who have nowhere else to go.

This project fills an immediate need to feed at-risk animals that would otherwise go without, and advocates for their protection. Nutritional hay is life for horses and burros, and because grazing pasture land is not a viable option in Southern California, continued deliveries of semi-trailer truck loads of hay are vital to their survival.

However, as a charity, keeping a good supply of hay available at all times is a challenge.  That’s why ongoing donations are so urgently needed to help assure quality care for these majestic animals who have already been through so much. You can help make this possible through this GlobalGiving project.

We are committed to meeting the challenge of sustaining this lifesaving project and to achieving protection for all horses and burros from hunger and starvation. Our small dedicated all-volunteer crew is willing to do the hard work involved, but we are only able to succeed with the support of many other people like you.

We believe in freedom from cruelty for America’s horses and burros and it remains our vow to meet the increasing cost of providing for the complex needs of those we support through our charity. As the number of horses and burros needing care and protection continues to rise, the demand for their protection, rescue and care continues to grow, and our objective is to keep up with these demands. This is the path we’ve always been on, and it is our great privilege to be on it with our supporters, and so many other like-minded people and partners.

We extend our most heartfelt gratitude to those who have generously responded. Every donation makes a difference for the horses and burros we serve through our lifesaving mission.

As always we thank you for supporting the Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF).

Sincerely,

From all of us at WFLF,
