Summer 2022 Report

By Katia Louise | Director

Nutritional hay is life for horses and burros and keeping the hay barn full is vital to our lifesaving mission.  However, our cost to keep hay on hand to feed rescue horses and burros in need has more than doubled since last year due to increased fuel and grain prices, extreme drought conditions and wildfires.

That’s why this project is so important!

On average our charity spends at least $2500 a month just for hay, and another $500 a month in grains and supplements. That’s an average of $3,000 a month just for feed.

Financial support is essential to help cover these basic feed costs that are absolute and ongoing for the lifespan of each equine we serve. Your donation help support the continuum of quality care for the many at-risk horses and burros under our program.

WFLF’s rescue and crisis assistance missions have saved hundreds of horses and burros over the years—the majority of whom would likely otherwise starved and or would have gone to slaughter without the meaningful support of devoted supporters like you.

Donations made in support of WFLF's Hay Donation project help to assure that rescued wild and domestic horses and burros receive the nutritional quality hay they need.

We thank all our supporters for helping to make this possible. It takes all of us working together to assure America’s horses and burros receive the care and protection they need.

As always, we thank you for supporting the Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF).

Yours for the horses and burros in need,

Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF)
