Dear friend of Motivation Romania,
Thank you for your generous donation to the Wheelchair Fund. With your help, Motivation was able to reach two important milestones that we had been looking forward to for the past year.
First, we raised 10,887 USD on GlobalGiving for the donations of 90 wheelchairs to people with mobility disabilities in Romania. These are part of the 1,000 wheelchairs we will donate in 2019 through the Motivation Romania Wheelchair Fund, an initiative that brings together annually individual donors and companies, from Romania and internationally, who support mobility and independent living for Romanians with disabilities.
Due to your gift, Motivation also secured a permanent account on GlobalGiving. Throughout 2019, we will keep you updated on the lives changed with your support. We will also reach out to you later in the year with our new annual GivingTuesday appeal for the Wheelchair Fund.
But now, for our first GlobalGiving report: in the first two months of 2019 our management team was busy organizing the delivery of wheelchairs via the Wheelchair Fund, while our teams on the ground started traveling the country to identify clients and carry out wheelchair assessments. Please click this link to read about Sorana, a girl who received an appropriate wheelchair in January 2019 due to Vodafone Romania Foundation, another supporter of the Wheelchair Fund.
On March 25 we will receive a new transport of wheelchairs from our partners at Agape Foundation in Sweden. Over the next months we will start giving out the wheelchairs funded by you and other donors to the Wheelchair Fund. We will include photos and stories of some of our wheelchair recipients in our newsletter, so please make sure you subscribe to it via the second link below.
