Dear friend of Motivation Romania,
I hope you are enjoying your summer!
I am pleased to bring you updates on Motivation Romania Wheelchair Fund 2019, which you have generously funded through your donation to our GlobalGiving campaign in December last year.
So far this year, Motivation donated 377 wheelchairs through the Wheelchair Fund, including 33 funded from GlobalGiving donations. In the previous two reports, we introduced Sorana, a girl who received an appropriate wheelchair in January 2019, and Ms. Silvia, who can now enjoy strolls in the park, friends at the gate or cats in her own garden thanks to the Wheelchair Fund.
This summer, we organized a great camp for 10 children who use wheelchairs and their carers. They participated in a training session for a healthy and active life as wheelchair users, at Motivation`s camp in Varatec, Neamt County. Manu was the youngest one at the camp. She joined the group in a positioning system which looks much like a stroller. This could not be handled independently and her mother used to help her move from one place to another. Read here how donations to the Wheelchair Fund helped Manu make new friends and do things on her own, without needing to ask someone else for help.
I hope these success stories are a fun way of staying close to our common cause. I invite you to renew your donation to the Motivation Wheelchair Fund 2020 by joining us with a gift on August 12, for the Little by Little campaign.
