Introduction
In the remote villages of North-Western Province, Zambia, thousands of vulnerable girls continue to face barriers to accessing education. One of the greatest challenges remains the long distances they must travel to reach schools and training centers. The Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) has committed itself to breaking these barriers by offering scholarships, mentorship programs, and vocational skills training across 11 districts of the province.
However, one major obstacle threatens our ability to reach the very girls who need support most: the lack of a reliable vehicle. Without adequate transport, outreach activities, scholarship follow-ups, and mentorship sessions are significantly limited.
Purpose of the Donation
We are pleased to acknowledge the donation of $100, which will directly contribute toward addressing this critical challenge. While this amount is not sufficient on its own to procure a vehicle, it represents a vital step forward in our broader fundraising efforts. Every contribution, regardless of size, builds momentum toward achieving our mission of reaching more vulnerable girls in remote communities.
Utilization of the Donation
The $100 donation will be allocated to CCCYD’s Transportation Fund, which is dedicated to:
1. Vehicle Procurement Initiative – Building resources toward the purchase of a reliable vehicle that will allow us to reach girls in hard-to-access villages.
2. Emergency Outreach Support – Covering partial fuel and maintenance costs for rented vehicles currently used to visit schools, vocational training sites, and scholarship beneficiaries.
3. Community Engagement – Facilitating transportation for mentorship volunteers who deliver guidance, psychosocial support, and educational motivation to rural girls.
Expected Impact
Increased Reach: With reliable transport, CCCYD will extend its support to more villages, ensuring that distance is no longer a barrier for vulnerable girls.
Sustained Follow-ups: Regular monitoring and mentorship visits will help scholarship recipients remain focused on their education.
Stronger Vocational Training Access: Students enrolled in training programs will benefit from consistent guidance and logistical support.
Appreciation
On behalf of the Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the $100 donation. This contribution symbolizes hope and commitment toward transforming the lives of girls in North-Western Zambia. Together, we are paving the way for equal educational opportunities, and we remain optimistic that, with continued support, the dream of securing a reliable vehicle will soon be realized.
