Environmental and attitudinal barriers restrict persons with disabilities (PWDs) from accessing educational and employment opportunities, thereby trapping them within a vicious cycle of poverty. One of the most significant factors reinforcing these restrictions is the lack of mobility, which prevents PWDs from reaching and benefiting from opportunities that may be available to them.

Assistive devices serve as crucial pathways to empowerment, bridging the gap between PWDs and the opportunities essential for their inclusion in society. Unfortunately, due to deeply rooted systemic marginalization, PWDs often lack the financial resources necessary to acquire these assistive devices. As a result, their access to essential services and prospects for self-sufficiency remains severely limited.

Your support enables us to provide PWDs with the assistive devices they need to reclaim their mobility and exercise their agency in pursuing opportunities that foster their empowerment. With the generosity of our donors, we have been able to help numerous PWDs regain their mobility in the past. However, there are still many more who remain deprived of these essential pathways to empowerment.
