Where Dreams Bloom project updates (June, 2021)

By Ta My Linh | Project Coordinator

Dear our friends,

Vietnam is facing the fourth wave of Covid 19, which is considered its most severe since the pandemic began in early last year. Until 2 June, there were 7,017 cumulative confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country.

Ho Chi Minh city has the plan on testing all residents in the city after recording a significant increase number of cases compare to the previous weeks. In light of the threats and follow the directions of the government, we have temporarily postponed all our project activities for community and staff safety.

The Department of Education and Training proposes that the summer vacation starts early to prevent of the pandemic. However, students who are at grade 9 and 12 continue their studying at school currently to prepare for their exams. The latest news is still being updated.

Next July, Ivy, Iris and Primrose are going to participate in the national high school Graduation exam. We partner with Mekong Volunteer Appreciation Program launch the online fundraising campaign Reaching Dreams, which aims to raise money to support our three girls who are studying hard to prepare for their upcoming exam.

Each Reaching Dream post correctly shared on Facebook, our program will be received 1.000vnd from the Mekong Volunteer Appreciation Program. All funds raised will be used to pay for the college exam preparation fees of Ivy, Iris and Primrose in the Where Dreams Bloom program.

To join our campaign, please follow two steps below:

Step 1 - Share our post: https://bom.to/F1sylZY2aihoB on your timeline and set it public.
Step 2 - Include the hashtags #WHEREDREAMSBLOOM and #REACHINGDREAMS in your post.

Please join us and spread the word to your friends and families about the campaign. It will las 15 days from 1 June to 15 June.

In the upcoming time, we also collaborate with Zest Art, an popular center teaching arts for children in Ho Chi Minh city to organize a painting class for the girls. Don’t forget following our page to see more photos of the activity: https://www.facebook.com/aatvietnam

All activities will be active when the situation become better. We are grateful for your continuous support.

Stay safe and don’t forget take care of your metal health during this time.

Best regards,

AAT Vietnam
