We are delighted to share the latest updates from Where Dreams Bloom – a program that empowers at-risk girls on their journey through education and personal growth.
Exploring Self-Understanding Through Gender Education
In April, AAT organized a series of gender education workshops for the girls in the program. To ensure age-appropriate content, the participants were divided into two groups:
Group 1: Grades 1–7
Group 2: Grades 8–12
Through engaging and age-sensitive activities, the girls learned fundamental knowledge about their bodies, emotions, and how to care for themselves. These sessions laid an important foundation for building confidence and safety during their development. We were truly touched to see how openly the girls participated, asked questions, and supported one another with empathy and curiosity.
International Children's Day – A Day of Reflection and Creativity
In May, to celebrate International Children’s Day on June 1st, the girls took part in a joyful and emotional outdoor activity.
They were invited to reflect on their past school year, sharing personal stories, challenges, joyful moments, and lessons learned. The open and safe environment fostered connection and understanding among peers.
Following the reflections, the girls engaged in a handmade bracelet activity, using their creativity to craft meaningful gifts. Each bracelet told its own story – a symbol of love, hope, and the dreams they continue to nurture.
Always Walking Alongside Them
In addition to group activities, our social workers continue to conduct home visits, checking in on the girls’ well-being, health, and academic progress. These visits build trust with families and allow us to provide timely support when needed.
The Where Dreams Bloom program also continues to offer scholarships, covering monthly school tuition to ensure the girls can stay focused on their education without financial barriers. The close coordination between schools, families, and AAT helps create a stable and safe learning environment for each girl.
A Heartfelt Thank You
These meaningful activities would not be possible without the generous support of our donors and community. We deeply appreciate your trust and commitment, which have brought positive change into the lives of these strong and resilient girls.
Please continue to follow the journey of Where Dreams Bloom as we build more stories filled with hope, strength, and love.
