In the village of Janjeva, Mona found herself thrust into a role she had not anticipated - that of a widow and sole provider for her four children. The death of her beloved husband left a void in their lives, and Mona was faced with the daunting task of carrying on the responsibilities that were once shared.

Mona, a woman of quiet strength and resilience, had never imagined herself going through life without her partner who had been the breadwinner and Mona had focused on creating a warm and caring home for their children. Now, with the weight of grief on her shoulders, Mona had to step into a new role as both mother and father.

Social assistance became a lifeline, ensuring that her children partially met their basic needs, even in the absence of stable income.

Life for Mona and her children became very difficult because besides the loss of her husband, the economic situation was too difficult and the children were too young to understand the situation or help her.

The days are long and filled with tasks that Mona never imagined she could handle alone. From running out of household finances to homework help, Mona became a master juggler, balancing the demands of parenting with grace. Despite the difficulties, she remained steadfast in her commitment to provide a stable and loving environment for her children.

Through the challenges, Mona discovered an inner strength she never knew existed. She became a role model for her children, teaching them the values of perseverance, compassion and gratitude.

After all, Mona's life is not only one of loss and hardship; it's a testament to the power of love and resilience in the face of adversity together, creating bonds that would stand the test of time.

She is very grateful for all kinds of help she receives from the center in Janjevë and she is very grateful to the donors who are donating and supporting widows like her.
