Dear donors,
We have received $30.00 donations towards our project to purchase wildlife research collars. We did not receive enough funds to purchase any research collars.
Our aim is to add additional collars to a research project run by our partners, the Endangered Wildlife Trust.
We were able to assist with the first attempts to collar lions and hyena in an area where they are at high risk of being poached.
After quite a few attempts we were able to collar a young male lion and also rescued a young lioness from a snare.
We are hoping to get quite a few collars on lions and spotted hyena as it will greatly improve the collection of data on threats and ways to try and prevent the high number of losses experienced due to poaching.
We are looking forward to making this project a success.
