As winter arrives in Gaza, cold temperatures add a new layer of hardship for families already facing relentless bombardment, displacement, and severe shortages of electricity and fuel. Many families are now living in tents or damaged buildings that provide no insulation against rain or freezing winds, placing children and vulnerable individuals at significant risk.
To address this urgent situation, Saed Relief and Development launched a winter support initiative to distribute essential heating materials to affected families across Gaza. The assistance included thermal blankets, heating coal, winter clothing, and warm sleeping sets specifically prepared for children who endure cold nights without adequate protection.
Field teams worked under extremely challenging conditions to reach crowded shelters, informal camps, and heavily damaged areas, ensuring that the most vulnerable families received timely assistance. Despite the dangers, the teams successfully delivered aid to a large number of households, offering much-needed warmth and comfort during a time of great uncertainty.
Providing heating materials in Gaza is not a seasonal luxury—it is an urgent lifesaving intervention that helps prevent illness, protects the most vulnerable, and offers dignity and relief amid overwhelming devastation.
Saed Relief and Development remains committed to supporting Gaza’s families throughout the winter, expanding its efforts to reach as many people as possible despite the ongoing crisis..
