As winter arrives, the suffering of thousands of Syrian families intensifies—especially those living in fragile tents or damaged homes that offer little protection from the freezing cold. With fuel prices soaring and heating materials scarce, many families face dangerously low temperatures, placing children, the elderly, and the sick at serious risk.
In response to this urgent need, Saed Relief and Development launched a winter support project to distribute essential heating materials to the most vulnerable families in northern Syria. The assistance included coal, firewood, thick blankets, and simple heating supplies to help families cope with the harsh winter season.
Beneficiary areas were selected through a comprehensive field assessment, prioritizing displaced families, female-headed households, and families with elderly or chronically ill members. Field teams worked tirelessly to deliver heating materials directly to tents and remote communities where winter conditions are most severe.
Each delivery brought not just warmth, but profound reassurance. For many families, these supplies were more than items—they were a shield against the cold and a reminder that compassion still reaches them despite their isolation and hardship.
Saed Relief and Development remains committed to expanding winter aid and reaching as many families as possible throughout the season, ensuring that no vulnerable family faces the winter cold alone.
