In Gaza, the effects of siege, destruction, and displacement are intensified during the winter months. Thousands of displaced families are forced to live in damaged homes, overcrowded shelters, and temporary centers that offer little protection from cold weather. With limited access to resources and electricity, heating has become an impossible luxury for many, while winter temperatures pose serious health risks—especially to children and the elderly.
Amid these severe humanitarian conditions, Saed Relief and Development carried out a heating materials distribution project in Gaza, focusing on families most affected by displacement and loss. The assistance included warm blankets and essential heating supplies, helping families cope with the bitter cold inside shelters and temporary living spaces.
Each blanket distributed brought comfort and reassurance during long, freezing nights. Children who slept on cold floors were finally able to find warmth, while mothers felt a small sense of peace as they covered their children against the harsh winter air. For elderly people and those suffering from illness, this support played a critical role in reducing exposure to cold-related health complications.
We sincerely thank all donors who contributed to this life-saving effort. Your generosity restored warmth and dignity to families enduring unimaginable hardship. However, winter is far from over, and the needs remain overwhelming. Continued support is essential to reach more families still facing the cold with little protection.
We kindly urge you to continue donating to sustain this vital humanitarian work and to share this report with your family and friends. Together, we can extend warmth, protection, and hope to every family in Gaza struggling to survive the winter.
