Winter Warmth for Gaza, Syria & Lebanon

As winter temperatures drop sharply, hundreds of Syrian families are facing extremely harsh living conditions, especially those residing in displacement camps and conflict-affected areas. Worn-out tents and unfinished shelters offer little protection from the cold, placing children and the elderly at high risk of illness and health complications.

In response to these urgent needs, Saed Relief and Development implemented a winter heating aid distribution project targeting 250 vulnerable families. The assistance included coal and essential heating materials to help families warm their shelters and homes during freezing winter nights.

This project helped ease the suffering of affected families and reduce health risks caused by prolonged exposure to cold, including respiratory illnesses and child infections. For mothers, the heating assistance provided reassurance for their children’s wellbeing, while for elderly individuals it restored a sense of warmth and safety amid extremely difficult circumstances.

The heating materials were more than physical aid—they were a message of solidarity and hope, reminding families that they are not alone during the harsh winter season. Beneficiaries expressed sincere gratitude for the support, which helped them endure the cold and maintain dignity.
