Thanks to your support and assistance, we continue our systematic and sustainable work to support women and girls who have survived domestic violence, as well as those affected by other forms of violence, including psychological and economic abuse. Your support directly enables women to gain a real opportunity to leave abusive situations and begin the process of rebuilding their lives.
Our work begins with the provision of basic assistance, which in many cases is the first and most critical step for a woman in a crisis situation. On average, around 15 women and girls each month approach us to receive dignity kits. This support not only addresses essential needs, but also helps establish trust, create a safe space, and encourage women to seek further assistance.
Psychological support is one of the core components of our work. We regularly provide both group sessions and individual consultations with a psychologist. Since the beginning of the year, we have delivered more than 6 group sessions and 10 individual consultations. As a result, women experience emotional stabilization, reduced anxiety levels, and a renewed sense of inner strength. For many participants, this is their first experience of a safe and non-judgmental space, which contributes to restoring self-esteem and building readiness to make decisions that protect themselves and their children.
In the context of the war, an additional factor that exacerbates tension within families is the ongoing disruption of electricity supply. The lack of electricity and communication increases stress levels, limits access to support services, and intensifies conflict situations, in which women are the most vulnerable. We observe an increase in requests for assistance during prolonged blackouts, which confirms the need for continuous psychological and crisis support.
We place particular emphasis on legal counseling, as a lack of legal awareness often prevents survivors from leaving abusive situations. We provide practical assistance in drafting statements, applications, and other legal documents, and explain procedures and available legal protection mechanisms. The outcome of this work is increased readiness among women to document cases of violence, contact relevant authorities, and use legal tools to protect themselves. For many women, this represents a turning point - from a state of helplessness to an active position and the restoration of control over their own safety and lives.
We sincerely thank you for your trust, support, and contribution to the protection of women’s rights and safety. It is only thanks to your support that we are able to continue this work and provide timely assistance to those who need it most.
