Hello!
I hope you are all doing well wherever you are in the world. Over the passed 3 months our project in Ghana has been providing computer skills to women in the community, due to funding we have had to pause our sewing project but we are trying to raise these funds to re-open by July.
Your donations have helped us reserve a computer cafe for 2 days a week in the community and fund a teacher to help the women learn to use a computer and provide them with a portfolio and CV. The women that have been attending leave each session with a smile after learning another skill, it is so amazing to see them feeling inspired and this is from your donations so thank you!
I also wanted to share with you why this project is imporatant in Ghana as you might not know but the representation of women in Ghana is still dangerously low with parliment made up by 15% of women and women in management positions across Ghana in the private sector currently stands around 26%. We know things are still not equal and therefore our project to upskill women is such a key factor to this project.
