Hi All,
We have kicked off 2024 with a bang! Here at the Cape Castle we have been donated a space to teach locak women new skills. Currntly we have around 23 women that come to our centre never sewing a stitch before and we put them through our intesive course until they become a great sewing expert.
Once they are trained we support these women allowing them to use our machines to make their own items to take to market. Because of our location we have hundreds of tourists on our doorstep and as such giving these women the opportunity to sell what they make as well as make custom items for the tourist that visit.
Your donations over the past few months have funded the materials we need for 12 women and we also managed to service all our machines to ensure they last longer.
