ACDI is committed to supporting and strengthening the financial capabilities of populations, as well as self-employment initiatives and entrepreneurship in communities, in order to strengthen the local and solidarity economy.
We aim to contribute to the local development of the most vulnerable communities in the Gran Chaco region by generating comprehensive plans and sustainable business models, and by shortening the marketing chain to promote greater dynamics in local economies. In this way, we collaborate with different actors in the public and private sectors, combining efforts and strategies to promote greater development opportunities.
In isolated and vulnerable populations, there is often a difficulty in accessing basic goods and services, as well as opportunities for accessing the job market. The need to access formal employment often implies migration to large cities or to other provinces. For this reason, communities develop self-employment alternatives that allow them to subsist within the framework of local economies. This is how these entrepreneurs become important and potential actors in these communities.
At ACDI, we support the work of these entrepreneurs by providing them with training and education, purchasing the tools and equipment they need to enhance their businesses, creating networks to improve their sales, and building a sense of community.
