A Call for Compassion: Rescue Displaced Families This Ramadan
Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters,
With heartfelt gratitude, we extend our deepest appreciation to our dedicated donors and partners. Your powerful and passionate support has been life-changing for the survivors of genocide, bringing hope, relief, and empowerment to displaced families. Because of you, the Darfur Women Network (DWN) has grown stronger, expanding its ability to serve those in dire need.
Soon, we celebrate a monumental achievement—the completion of our Safe Stoves Project! Thanks to your generosity, 7,000 families now have safe cooking solutions, protecting women and children from harmful smoke, violent attacks, and economic hardship.
The Crisis in Sudan: Urgent Ramadan Appeal
While we mark this success, the crisis in Sudan worsens. El Fasher, the last city free from RSF control, is under siege, facing relentless ground and drone attacks. Hundreds of thousands of displaced families have fled RSF-controlled states, only to find themselves trapped in dire conditions:
With Ramadan beginning on March 1, these families face hunger, thirst, and unbearable suffering. Ramadan is a time of compassion and giving—a time when we unite to share blessings with those in need.
Will You Answer Their Call for Help?
Your kindness can save lives. Your generosity can restore dignity. Your support can bring hope.
How You Can Help:
Beyond Ramadan: A Commitment to Long-Term Recovery
DWN’s response does not end with Ramadan. While we provide immediate life-saving assistance, we are also working toward long-term recovery, helping families rebuild their lives, regain stability, and work toward self-sufficiency and resilience.
With your continued support, we can ensure that displaced families do not just survive—but thrive.
