Updates On Women's Rights in 28 Villages

By Englebert, Giddy , Celine, Dr. Sam , Comfort | Team Leaders

Greetings To Our Donors and Sponsors;

After having a successful "Feed The Hunger" feeding project for families in all five zones to celebrate Thanksgiving with our partners in the USA we were off and running to follow up with our annual project of Toys for Tots for Christmas.  This year we choose to work with local pastors in all five zones to distribute toys and gifts and bring smiles to the faces of the children in the local churches.  The project was a big hit with the pastors and several of them have already signed up to volunteer and participate in this project for our annual Thanksgiving Feed The Hunger and for our Toys for Tots project which brings joy to the families and smiles on the faces of the children in 2022. We are grateful for the donations and support which allowed us to expand and extend this project due to the fact that we are dealing with many single moms and children in orphanages.

 In January, we kicked off the new year by sponsoring a project that would enhance the skills of our women.  This outstanding advisory course was designed and taught by  the JRCCA Legal Department to give our members the skills and experience to raise the funds that are needed to empower our women to develop and fund the business projects that they know will help them to become all that they can become in the community.

At the beginning of the new year (2022) we turned our focus on women empowerment through our JRCCA/JRFIUSA sustainable education training program.  A virtual zoom online six weeks class was designed and taught by our legal advisor. The goal of this training on the fundamental principles for writing proposals for NGO and developing financial management skills was to train and equip 50 women, Zonal Directors, SNT leaders and Focus Group Leaders in all 5 zones that we serve.  The class ended on February 4, 2022 and these leaders  have begun the process of training individuals  in all the 5 zones that we serve.   We envision that these women leader will raise  up by their boot straps and help to alleviate poverty for future generations in the 28 villages that we serve in five zones. This was a six weeks course that was designed to  help change lives of the participants  and equip both men and women, boys and girls and youths with life long educational knowledge, skills and experience.

The ONLINE ADVISORY COURSE ON THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES FOR NGO PROPOSALS & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Course focused on teaching the participants how to  set goals with measurable Objectives that require (1) Planning and (2) effort to achieve – Anything Meaningful requires planning and effort to achieve e.g. Relationships, Career Accomplishments, Marriage, Starting a Business require SMART goals, etc.

The class ended on February 4, 2022 and those members who participated in the class believe they are ready to go and achieve the vision, dreams and goals of our late founder who we will have a memorial services in his honor on March 11, 2022 at the site of his resting place which will be the headquarters for the training and job development department for JRCCA.

In conclusion, we believe that JRCCA is a worthy cause that will do a great deal of good for many people. JRCCA is excited to partner with its sister organization in the USA and others to make the women empowerment project a reality, leading to substantial benefits in the short, medium and long term.  Also we like to share from  the JRCCA IT Communication And Cyber Cafe Department is that we  now have a new website for JRCCA.
