Closing strong: Reflecting on the last year of 'Close The Care Gap’
On 4 February 2024, the cancer community came together to bring the World Cancer Day campaign “Close The Care Gap” to the highest level. Literally. Together, we drew attention to the unacceptable inequities in cancer care around the world asking governments worldwide to address this problem.
The World Cancer Day 2024 Impact Report shows all the inspiring actions that were taken on 4 February and the incredible reach of this global health awareness day.
Thank you all for your unwavering support and engagement: UICC members and partners, the health community, organisations, businesses, leaders, governments and individuals from all walks of life.
Together, we can be proud of the significant impact we achieved. Together, we raised greater awareness, spread knowledge and strengthened political will to work towards a healthier world where millions of lives are saved from cancer.
We are already working on the next three-year campaign concept and are looking forward to sharing it with you at the launch this fall.
See you for the next campaign!
