Dear GlobalGiving Donors:

As we enter November, the month of giving and gratitude, the members of WIT would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous donation to the GlobalGiving crowdfunding campaign held back in September.

Your contributions have already made a significant impact on the Entrepreneurs we support. In the past month, WIT has already held two workshops on Board Training, one in Sendai (10/22) and the other most recently in Tokyo (11/6). Your donation has directly enabled the Entrepreneurs to attend these Board Training workshops, and learn about topics such as: embracing diversity & inclusion in designing and recruiting a Board of Directors; what a strategic merger between two historical nonprofits in the U.S. looks like and what role Board members had in making it a successful merger; and a U.S.-Japan comparison of Board structures, policies, etc. Participants of the workshop were also able to map out their strategic goals for the next 3-5 years and draft a matrix of the current needs and ideal talent mix of their respective organizations as it relates to their board and governance.

On behalf of the participating entrepreneurs who attended our Board Training workshop, we thank you for making this opportunity possible! We are committed in supporting these entrepreneurs make their Board action plan come to fruition, and dedicated to continuously build the capacity of the social sector players across disaster-struck regions of Japan.

Thank you once again and we look forward to staying in touch!

- WIT
