It is always a pleasure to stay connected and to share the paths that adolescents and young people are building, thanks to your support and commitment
From May to August 2025, many meaningful activities took place with the young people of Grupo Nós, a program that supports adolescents and young adults transitioning from shelters to independent living, and we are pleased to share some of these moments with you. We currently have two groups: one with 47 participants and another with 15.
In our group meetings, we welcomed guest speakers who addressed topics such as financial management, sexuality, and household economy. We also had a special cooking activity, where the young people organized themselves, showed creativity, and prepared a delicious lunch together.
Cultural outings were also highlights during this period. In the work and career axis, we visited a pharmaceutical company, where the young people had the opportunity to learn how different departments operate and interact to make a large-scale industry thrive. In the cultural axis, we visited the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP), with guided tours of the following exhibitions:
- Women Affected by Dams: Embroidering Rights
- Hulda Guzmán: Miraculous Fruits
- Five Essays on MASP – Arts of Africa
These experiences broadened their cultural, social, and professional horizons, strengthening their worldview.
We also organized a meeting with professionals from shelters, aimed at discussing how to approach the topic of sexuality within these contexts, aligned with the discussions already held with the young people. It was a very enriching space, with meaningful exchanges of experiences and reflections.
Finally, we would like to share the story of K., who has been part of Grupo Nós since 2021. After leaving a shelter in late 2024, he moved to a Youth Housing Program, where he has been building his autonomy and strengthening his life projects. He graduated from high school and joyfully celebrated his commencement alongside his family. K. is an articulate young man who actively engages in different youth leadership spaces, in addition to his participation in Grupo Nós. Passionate about finance and economi...
