The new gynecological and surgical hospital in Herat was able to begin serving an average of 200 clinic patients per month in January of 2010 and celebrated the official opening of the hospital in February 2011. Since the hospital was fully opened, it has served an average of 700 patients per month, doing so without a digital X-ray machine. The urgency of this project is increasing each month. AIL is very thankful to your generosity in making this a reality. Hopefully in the near future, we will have collected enough funds to purchase a digital X-Ray machine.
