Rising from challenges through support and impact

By Winston Ashby | Executive Director and Founder

Thanks to your continued support, PARTI empowered hundreds of youth this summer to take action, care for their wellbeing, and celebrate their cultural identity. Your investment made it possible for us to surpass every measurable goal, proving that when youth are given the platform and tools to lead, they exceed all expectations. While PARTI is experiencing a fundraising shortfall of $124,500 dollars in 2025, we need to highlight the need and impact of our work which is elevated through youth voice.

Together, we’re shaping the next generation of compassionate, creative, and community-minded leaders.

What we did this summer:

PARTI Program Summer 2025 Impact Narrative

Goal: Achieve 80% of  Units of Service (UOS) = 1,712
Actual: 9,618 UOS delivered — 562% of goal achieved

Overview

The PARTI Program far exceeded expectations during Summer 2025, delivering 9,618 total Units of Service, a 562% achievement compared to the contracted goal. Youth across Santa Clara, Alameda, and surrounding Bay Area communities participated in a dynamic summer schedule focused on wellness, leadership, cultural expression, and community service.

By placing 27 youth in internships or leadership roles. and through partnerships with local schools, recreation centers, and community organizations, our youth cohorts led and participated in activities that built life skills, promoted self-care, and strengthened community belonging. The results show how PARTI’s inclusive, arts- and wellness-driven approach continues to transform youth experiences and foster leadership among participants aged 12–24.

Highlights by Activity Life Skills Sessions — 2,160 UOS Delivered

Youth participated in 45 interactive sessions (average of 32 youth per meeting) exploring communication, leadership, and goal-setting.
Workshops emphasized conflict resolution, healthy decision-making, and college and career readiness. Many participants practiced public speaking and team building, preparing to take on peer mentor and ambassador roles in the fall.

Self-Care Activities — 1,872 UOS Delivered

Our 52 self-care sessions empowered 36 youth to focus on mental health, mindfulness, and stress management. Sessions included art therapy, journaling, guided meditation, and wellness walks. These activities promoted balance and resilience, responding to youth-reported increases in anxiety and burnout.

Agility & Wellness Community Building — 2,376 UOS Delivered

With 22 wellness sessions engaging over 50 participants, PARTI merged fitness, dance, and team sports to strengthen both physical health and social connection. Activities included breathing, stretching, movement drills, and partner-based agility challenges—cultivating a culture of active living and teamwork.

Cultural Dancing Sessions — 750 UOS Delivered

Through 10 workshops, 25 youth practiced Polynesian, African, and Hip Hop dance, celebrating diversity and creativity. These sessions connected youth to cultural heritage and expression, leading to performance showcases at community and PARTI events.

Pro-Social Activities — 1,540 UOS Delivered

11 events united 35 youth around mental wellnes, mindfulness, team-based service and community building—from bullying prevention and cannabis research sessions to civic engagement activties. Participants developed empathy, communication skills, and a sense of belonging while addressing real community issues through art and service.

Youth-Led Service Projects — 720 UOS Delivered

Youth took leadership into their own hands through 12 service projects, designing peer campaigns addressing bullying prevention, mental health awareness, and environmental care. Each project engaged at least 20 peers and included partnership with local chambers of commerce, schools, and civic leaders.

Surveys & Feedback — 200 UOS Delivered

Two large youth survey sessions engaged 100 respondents, gathering qualitative and quantitative data to guide upcoming fall program design and strengthen youth voice in decision-making.
