Cyclone Remal is one of the most devastating cyclones to hit Bangladesh in recent years. It was a nightmare for people living in the coastal areas, especially for people in the southern parts of the country.
Electricity supply was disrupted; thousands were out of mobile networks; homes were destroyed; people already grappling with poverty suffered the most. Volunteer for Bangladesh came forward to help these people. They organised fundraisers for the Remal-affected people and provided them with relief bags containing rice, lentils, potatoes, edible oil, jaggery, saline, essential medicines, sanitary napkins and clean water.
Almost 300 families from the coastal areas benefitted through the relief distribution efforts of Volunteer for Bangladesh and we would like to thank you for being a part of it through your generous contributions. Your support enables these volunteers to implement such community development projects and create positive social impacts.
Thank you once again. Together, we are not only empowering today’s youth but helping shape a better tomorrow!
