New year, new opportunities

Dear friend,
We started the 2023 with the news that, together with other EU NGOs we were select to implement a youth project which will be implemented in Sanski Most as well as in different locations/countries of the EU.
This program will give the youth of BiH, among others, a new opportunity to travel, learn about peacebuilding and environment protection and of course meet new peers from across the EU.
In January we started collaboration with an elementary school in Sanski Most area helping them establish their first herbal garden and we provided workshops and gardening experiences for students from this school.
Our hope is to extend this collaboration with all elementary schools in Sanski Most and co-create extra-curriculum workshops on environmental protection.
We got support from the office of the EUSR to organise a Peace camp and Peace Caravan in May so we are in the process to prepare everything so both programs will be as effective as possible.
As always we are designing other activities for the youth and will let you know once we are ready to implement them.

Happy holidays

Dear friends,
In the last part of the year 2022 we partnered with several organisations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and facilitated several workshops for the youth. WIn partnershio with the Interreligious council of Bosnia we facilitated workshops on the consequences of the Pandemic and with the youth we developed recommendations what to do in the post-pandemic time to help the youth define ways to deal better with it.
In cooperation with the IRC office based in Zenica we facilitated workshops on Identity and Cycles of revenge and reconciliation so the participants inderstood better how the past can be a burden that prevents us from living our full lives.
We continued to work with our Volunteer club as well. We organised a trip to Banja Luka so they could get to know the city, visiting major sites and also attending a workshop at the Jewish Center on prejudices and hate speech.
During the campaign 16 days of activism against violence on women and girls, youth from the Volunteer club helped our Theater group to organise performances in 3 schools and in the local theater in Sanski Most.
We have established some new partnerships which will help us organise more workshops and trainings for the youth in 2023.

Building future together

Dear friend,
Summer time is always great for activities with youth and kids since they are out of schools from June till September.
We focused this summer on enlarging the Volunteer club and also making it more visible in our community. What we are doing diffently is that we asked the youth to elect the leadership of the Volunteer club so members can exercise leadership roles under our supervision. Members also created their own action plan that will be their guidance for next 12 months.
We continued education/workshops for the Ecokids project and we are hoping to have first 10 trained facilitators on ecology and dialogue till next December. In the past three months we implemented 15 workshops for 200 students in our local community.
We are preparing for the International Peace Week which will be again focused on the youth activism, ecology and peacebuilding.
