During the past three months, Center for Peacebuilding has implemented a series of activities aimed at strengthening peace, cooperation and involving young people in the processes of building a tolerant and active society.
On the occasion of the International Youth Day, the Center for Peacebuilding organized a gathering of young people in the area of the Youth Center. Young people had the opportunity to show their views on the importance of peace, togetherness and mutual understanding through artistic expression, drawing on the theme "Youth and peace". The activity took place in a creative and positive atmosphere, and the works of the young people will later be presented at an exhibition in the Youth Center.
A new interactive game called "Task Hunters" was launched in the Youth Center. This activity aims to encourage teamwork, creativity and logical thinking among young people. The game proved to be extremely interesting and useful, and became a regular part of the program at the Youth Center.
During the reporting period, several working meetings were held with partners from the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Crimes (AIPG). At the meetings, the current course of the "Education for Democracy" project was analyzed, and the need for its extension and continuation of cooperation with secondary schools was jointly recognized.
As part of the "Education for Democracy" project, visits to secondary schools in Sanski Most and the surrounding area have begun. During these visits, the Center's team implements workshops with students on the topics of democracy, civic engagement and human rights, and at the same time presents them with the activities and opportunities offered by the Youth Center. The response of students and professors was very good, and the workshops were evaluated as useful and stimulating.
We hosted a group of young people from Kljuc at Youth Center as part of the ALUMNI project, which was launched as an initiative of one of the participants of the Peace Leadership Program (PLP). During the visit, the young people had the opportunity to learn about, our projects and activities that we carry out with young people in Sanski Most.
The visit took place in a pleasant atmosphere, with interactive conversations, joint activities and exchange of experiences, which contributed to strengthening cooperation and networking of young people from different communities. This initiative once again showed the importance of connecting young leaders who share common values of peace, dialogue and mutual understanding.
In the past period, the Center for Peacebuilding continued with activities that contribute to the promotion of peace, understanding and democratic values among young people. Through creative workshops, games and partner projects, CIM continues its mission of strengthening togetherness and building sustainable peace in the community.
