REPORT ON THE ACTIVITIES AT THE PEACE FARM
Period: July – September 2026
During the third quarter of 2026, activities continued at the Peace Farm, which serves as an important space for implementing the programmes of the Centre for Peacebuilding (CIM), working with young people, providing educational opportunities, exchanging experiences, and promoting the values of peace and solidarity.
Construction work at the Peace Farm continued throughout this period. The work is still ongoing, with the aim of further developing the infrastructure and improving the conditions for implementing CIM’s future activities and programmes.
In August, a three-day retreat was organized at the Peace Farm for participants who had attended CIM’s camps in previous years. The gathering provided an opportunity to reconnect, socialize, exchange experiences, and strengthen relationships. Such meetings help maintain contact with former participants and further develop a community of young people united by the values of peace and cooperation.
One of the most significant activities during this period was Peace Week, which lasted seven days and brought together young people, representatives of organizations, educators, volunteers, international guests, and local community members. The programme included numerous lectures and workshops addressing peace, dialogue, nonviolence, environmental protection, and building sustainable relationships within the community. A fair featuring local products and handicrafts, a concert, and performances by cultural and artistic societies were also organized. A particularly meaningful activity was the creation of the Wall of Peace, where young people expressed their ideas about peace, tolerance, and solidarity through drawings and messages.
As part of Peace Week, the Peace Farm also welcomed a group of peacebuilders from Ireland. Their visit provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss different approaches to peacebuilding. Meetings with international guests contributed to strengthening connections among participants and exploring diverse perspectives and experiences in the field of peacebuilding.
During this period, the Peace Farm also welcomed the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Ambassador met with young people and discussed life in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the opportunities available to them, the challenges they face, and their future prospects. The meeting provided young people with an opportunity to openly share their views, ask questions, and discuss issues important to their personal development and active participation in society.
All these activities contributed to the continued development of the Peace Farm as a space for gathering, learning, building connections, and promoting peace. Through ongoing infrastructure development, reunions with former camp participants, and programmes connecting the local community with international guests, CIM continues to develop the Peace Farm as an important place for working with young people and promoting peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding.
