The American Foundation for Children with AIDS initiated and sponsored LooLove project in Zimbabwe provides vulnerable families, mostly grandmother's looking after orphans, with a safe and sanitary ablution system for their homesteads. This project has been very well received by the communities which we serve and people gather to help make clay bricks for the buildings and gather rocks and sand for our building team to use.
Our qualified and experienced builder Mr. N has completed the construction of the 26 LooLove toilets in our current program and during this time has trained two other community members in the construction of these units as well as worked with young people in each of the beneficiary villages showing them how to mould stronger clay bricks.
As you can see supporting this very worthwhile initiative not only gives vulnerable folk access to safe and sanitary ablutions but also provides very practical training to aspiring builders and the youth in our communies.
