Hi Dear Friends, we can report we had a wonderful education event at the Engira Primary School in Arusha. Thanks to a donation by Projectburo De Laat, 75 girls from 9-13 years in age were trained in puberty changes, menstraul health and hygiene by a REEpads representive.

Topics that were educated to the girls:

a) Growth Changes.
Focused on understanding physical, emotional, and psychological changes
during puberty.

b) Awareness, Hygiene, and Sanitation.
Highlighted the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and proper
sanitation practices.

c) Menstrual Health.
Provided detailed information about menstruation, including the menstrual
cycle and effective management.

d) Sexual Reproductive Health.
Introduced fundamental concepts related to reproductive health and rights.

e) Interactive Question-and-Answer Session.
Allowed the participants to ask questions and receive clear, practical
answers to their concerns.

3. Materials Provided.
Distributed 70 reusable and eco-friendly sanitary pads to support
sustainable menstrual health management for the girls.

4. Outcomes and Impact.
Enhanced the girls’ understanding of their bodies and how to manage puberty-related changes.
Improved awareness of hygiene and menstrual health practices.
Fostered confidence through open dialogue in the Q&A session.
Equipped 70 girls with Reepads to ensure access to sustainable menstrual products.

Conclusion:
The training successfully empowered 75 girls with critical knowledge and tools to navigate puberty and menstrual health with confidence and dignity.

We are happy we could do this and give those girls a good start and reusable pads give less waste so that is a good cause. When you want more information, get connected.

Best Regards,

Pendaeli Amos and Peter
